This temple is known among us gaijin as "The Golden Pavilion" for obvious reasons. The real name is Rokuon-Ji. Built by the 3rd Shogun of Ashikaga in 1394. While the building has been restored over the years, the rock gardens are exactly as they were laid out 700 years ago. We visited the site on a beautiful spring day.
